National Volunteer Week from May 15 – 21 is Australia’s largest annual celebration of the generous contribution volunteers make across the country. This year's theme, 'The Change Makers', is a call to action to help make the world a better place.

Volunteers are the backbone of many community organisations in Mandurah, and their contributions are vital to building a strong, healthy and happy community.

There are many reasons why people choose to volunteer, from the desire to help others, to the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences. At the City of Mandurah, our volunteers are involved in many facets of the community, including events, recreation, youth, arts, libraries, conservation, and the environment.

If you’d like to become involved in volunteering in the community and learning new skills, head to the City’s website for more details mandurah.wa.gov.au.

You can also chat with the team at Peel Volunteer Resource Centre to find out what volunteering opportunities are available in the Mandurah and Peel region.

Or come along to these great upcoming events and take the next step towards volunteering:

Steps to Volunteering Information Session
